A deactivated Webley Mk. IV revolver chambered for .38" ammunition. The bakelite handle displays the Webley name at the top. The Webley Mk. IV was developed in the 1920s for a War Office requirement but was unfortunately not adopted for service at this stage. As the need for more weapons grew during the early days of the Second World War, an order for 126,000 Webley Mk. IV revolvers was placed by the Ministry of Supply. The top of the barrel (not pictured) is stamped "Webley & Scott Ltd. Made in England".
